Timeline:
• Nick goes to his second cousin Daisy’s house for dinner.
• Nick meets Jordan Baker, a professional golf player; and a friend of Daisy’s. Jordan Baker exclaims to ick that she knows Gatsby, sparking questions from Daisy.
• Tom; Daisy’s husband gets a call from his mistress during dinner.
• Nick sees Jay Gatsby on the dock looking at the green light when he arrives home from dinner.
• Nick goes with Tom to hang out with his mistress (Myrtle Wilson) and some other people; Nick gets drunk for the second time in his life.
• Myrtle talks of Daisy and Tom hits her so hard in the face that he breaks her nose.
• Nick gets invited to one of Gatsby’s parties.
• Nick goes to his first Gatsby party; sees Jordan, and meets Gatsby for the …show more content…

• Gatsby invites Nick to lunch; Gatsby tells Nick about his life. Nick believes his lies.
• Gatsby tells Nick that he has asked Jordan Baker to ask Nick something for Gatsby.
• Tom and Gatsby meet.
• Jordan asks Nick if he will have Daisy (just Daisy, no Tom) over for tea so Gatsby can “run into” Daisy.
• Gatsby offers Nick a job.
• Gatsby has Nicks house and yard cleaned up, and food made for when Daisy comes to visit.
• Daisy comes, Gatsby and she rekindle their friendship.
• Nick and Daisy go to Gatsby’s house; you hear about Dan Cody, and Daisy starts crying because Gatsby’s shirts are so beautiful.
• Nick shares the truth about Gatsby’s life.
• Mr. Sloane, the woman he is with and Tom Buchanan see Gatsby and Nick.
• Daisy and Tom come to one of Gatsby’s parties. Gatsby wants Daisy to tell tom that she never loved him.
• Gatsby, Nick, and Jordan go to Daisy and Toms for lunch.
• They go town; Gatsby drives Toms car and Tom drives Gatsby’s.
• Tom stops to put gas Gatsby’s car. The gas pumper looks sick, he shares it’s because he suspects his wife Myrtle Wilson is cheating on him. (Myrtle is Toms mistress.) Tom now seems angry and leaves.
• Tom and Gatsby fight about who Daisy
