The Great Gatsby is a novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which is fiction based story, on a man named Jay Gatsby. The novel is told in a first-person narrative, from a character named Nick Carraway. Nick Carraway’s role in the tale is he is Mr. Gatsby’s friend and next door neighbor. Mr. Carraway first notices with Mr. Gatsby, when he sees him on Gatsby’s lawn and wants to introduce himself. However, when Nick looked away towards the sea, notices a very small green light across the dock, he turns back to Mr. Gatsby and he’s nowhere to be seen. “When I looked once more for Gatsby he had vanished, and I was alone again in the unquiet darkness. I was alone again in the unquiet darkness.” (Fitzgerald, 1925, p. 16). Throughout the summer, Gatsby hosted amazing parties, one evening, Gatsby’s butler gave a personal invitation to Nick to attend one of his parties. When Nick asked who was driving the car. Gatsby confirms that Daisy was driving the car but was willing to take the blame for her. As for the choices she made, something that should been changed was her not taking the blame for killing Myrtle. A personal choice I would have is to confess to the murder and to tell Gatsby the truth about why I didn’t wait for him.
