Behavior Progress: During this review period, Tyler participated in all aspects of the program with minimal difficulty. Tyler did not receive any room restrictions. However, Tyler did receive three sanctions for not following instructions, disrespect towards staff and profanity. as a result of turning around in his seat while in class to talk to a peer.
Tyler reports that this review period, he has focused on studying for the GED and attempting to better manage his attitude specially when he is redirected or does not gets what he wants. Overall, staff reports that Tyler has demonstrated improvement in managing his behavior.

With regard to community-based activities, Tyler and his peers have continued to participate in cooking classes at the Young Chef’s Academy. Also, Tyler participated in a bowling activity at King Pin Bowling Lanes and two community service opportunities with Victory Tabernacle. During this period, Tyler participated in The Great Stories Club book club discussion for the assigned book this period “Thirteen Reasons Why” by Jay Asher. The assigned book for the next book discussion is “Romeo & Juliet” by Shakespeare. In addition, Tyler began to participate in weekly learning sessions with representatives from the Chesterfield County Library to identify pro-social activities that may be of interest and resources available to assist him to achieve his self-identified goals post-release. Tyler reports that during the sessions he has had the opportunity to design a toy car on the computer software program for 3D printing and would like to work on filling job applications in future sessions. …show more content…
