Author’s show the Hero’s Journey in many different and similar ways. In The Hobbit wrote by JRR Tolkien the Hero Bilbo Baggins leaves his home to go on a adventure with the dwarves’. They run into goblins, elves’, and spiders and are heading to Smaug to fight a dragon to get their gold back. In A Dog’s Life wrote by Ann M Martin the Hero Squirrel leaves her home to follow her brother and runs into another home. The person of the home drives them and drops them off at the mall; Squirrel loses her brother named Bone and is left in the mall to find food and shelter.
While The Hobbit chronicles the journey of Bilbo Baggins, it forms also a journey for the reader. It starts in the cozy hobbit-hole of Bilbo, who is very relatable. He is just a hobbit, content with smoking pipe, eating cake and drinking tea to fill the rest of his days. And then, Gandalf appears.
Bilbo Baggins the Burglar Thesis: In the book The Hobbit, the character Bilbo Baggins is a middle class hobbit who must challenged his introverted nature to help the dwarves reclaim their land. Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit, who lives in his hobbit hole. Hobbits are generally short and fat introverted people who don’t leave their house much. Bilbo Baggins was living like that, until one day, thirteen dwarves and his old wizard friend(Gandalf) enter his house and start eating and talking like it was their house.

The Lord of the Rings is a novel by J.R.R. Tolkien that tells the story of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who is tasked with destroying the One Ring, a powerful artifact created by the evil Sauron. The characters in The Lord of the Rings are also experiencing internal conflicts in various ways. Frodo, the main character, is struggling with the burden of carrying the ring and the responsibility of saving Middle Earth. He is torn between his desire to fulfill his mission and his fear of the dangers that lie ahead. The novel explores themes of power, corruption, and the nature of good and evil, as well as the importance of friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice.

Him his younger brother and his mom moved back to England, but then his mom was diagnosed with diabetes and died a little more than eight years than his dad.

The Hobbit, originally written by JRR Tolkien and directed in film by Peter Jackson, is a story about Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit used to the sedentary lifestyle who also owns a magic ring that turns him invisible, pursuing an adventure with Thorin and Company, a group of dwarves seeking to reclaim their lost treasure from Smaug, a dragon who conquered the lost kingdom of Dale, ruled by Thorin’s ancestors. The stories themselves of both film and novel are very similar in structure. The chapter “Barrels out of Bond” contains the Wood-elves imprisoning the dwarves, with Bilbo barely slipping out.

The Hobbit published in 1937 was noted “a success and has not been out of children’s recommended reading lists ever since. ”which I would agree because it has a lot vivid imagery and good sense of adventure for anybody to read at any age and it is one of my favorite books to read.

The book I read for the third nine weeks was The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Bilbo was recruited by Gandalf to go on a quest with dwarves to retake Erebor. On the adventure Bilbo becomes friends with them and the dragon was killed. It is in third person it never says “I” unless someone spoke, but it shows the thoughts of Bilbo. The story is in Middle Earth in sometime in the past and before The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
