Joan of Arc had an important role in the Hundred Years’ War for a French peasant girl who basically led France to its victory, and was able to save the monarchy. During her teenage years, Joan started to hear voices, which she claimed to be the voices of Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret. Later on, those voices spoke to her telling her that the dauphin had to be crowned and that the English had to be expelled from France. She had many obstacles in the way but in the end they were convinced. The French believed her, because the court believed that only a miracle could save the country.

Dear Sirs, With a lot of research, it is concluded that the colonies are not ready to help with the war between Great Britain and the French due to their cultural characteristics, willingness to help the king, motivations of leaving Great Britain to go to the colonies. It would be very difficult for only the southern colonies to defend Britain from the French since the middle and New England colonies would not defend Great Britain because they left Britain because of cultural reasons. The geography and climate of the regions the colonies are in would help with the war because of their growth season and the crops they make.

The wars started in the early 1600s but the French and Indian war didn’t start until 1754 and then seven years later it ended in 1763. The French and Indian war took place because the French and Great Britain wanted to expand their North American land West of the Appalachian mountains, also known as the Ohio territory. They also wanted the Ohio Territory because they wanted to trade with the North American Indians. The war took place in a lot of different locations around the world like Europe, India, and North America.
The events that led to the French war and Indian war consist of many factors. First, the argument of who got the Ohio River Valley. Second, the hassle of the French and Indians who both wanted different things. Third, the Iroquois Confederacy, which sed brain power instead of physical power to ignite the war. Next, the colonists starting to interfere with the war.

For this assignment I have chosen the quote: “ Words can be like X-rays, if you use them properly–they'll go through anything. ”(Huxley 72), from chapter four of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. In the book, Helmholtz Watson, a professor at the College of Emotional Engineering, feels that his job doesn’t give him the satisfaction for which he yearns, and wishes to use his writing skill set to do something more valuable to him. He uses the quote above to profess his ambitions to his friend, Bernard Marx. I relate to this quote because I understand the importance of words, but, unlike Helmholtz, often have trouble being concise.
The war was known as The Seven Years ' War to the British but to the Americans it was called The French and Indian War, it was the bloodiest American war in the 18th century taking more lives than the American Revolution. Spreading across and involving three continents which included much of Europe, the Caribbean and India. The war was sparked by a clash between the English and French over colonial territory and wealth. “The land- variously claimed by Virginians, Pennsylvanians and the French-was actually inhabited by more than a dozen Indian tribes.” (pg 130)
Academic scholars have covered elements of Indian warfare and the Indian culture from the Beaver Wars of the seventeenth century to the end of what may be considered the Sixty Years’ War, which consisted of various conflicts between the Eastern Woodland Indians and Europeans. Little has been done to cover the related conflict in Western Pennsylvania other than the battles during the French and Indian War. What I have not found is any study of the relationship between culture and warfare against the Europeans. The research I have been doing is directly influencing how I will approach my topic and possibly change my thesis. Historians may have focused more on Pontiac’s influence in the Great Lakes region of the conflict as well as the bulk
The French and Indian war started in 1754 and ended with a treaty called the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The British and French were having land disputes and both wanted to control the Ohio valley. This same war was being fought over in Europe between the British and the French but they called it the 7-year war. In America the French and Indian war was fought with English solders and American colonist against the French and the native American Indians. The French and Indian war started over land dispute but would eventually lead to the American revolution.
