The Huswifery by Taylor is a narrative, where Taylor portrays his cravings to be closer to God while doing everything that is satisfying to the Puritan religion. He communicates his Puritan’s views by comparing himself to a wheel used for weaving; “Make me, O Lord, Thy spinning wheel complete”(Taylor 1.1) All through, Taylor addresses to God to take control over his life and work through him. Making God the master weaver, weaving material of His grace to clothe Taylor. God has control over everyone’s lives and develops their destinies. It is revealed thus, that one cannot accomplish religious grace though one’s own exertion, as God is the supreme ruler and shaper of one’s predetermination. The purpose is for Taylor to depict his yearning to
