The actions of these Morgan, Rockefeller, Carnegie, businessmen in the late 1800s have a negative impact on society. These three men didn't have respect for their workers. Morgan criticized for creating monopolies by making it difficult for any business to compete against his. Criticized that for having too much power and was accused of manipulating the nation's financial system for his own gain Morgan he financially rescued the United states government twice but also Did Not treat workers well. Morgan forced his workers to labor under harsh condition for long hours and low pay.
Thomas Jefferson was a smart man. He was the author of the Declaration of Independence and also had input into the writing of the Constitution. He once said, "The Constitution belongs to the living and not to the dead." Jefferson said this because the world is ever changing. There are always improvements made everything and more people are born thus more opinions are formed.
My musings about Thomas Jefferson is, I have no issue against him for being a slave proprietor. His dad Dwindle Jefferson, was a slave proprietor when he was three years of age in 1746 that he could recall. Jefferson was nine years of age when he had formal investigations with serve showing him nine months out the year. Jefferson father passed on in 1757, when he was fourteen years of age, his educator took him under their wings for direction. I trust Jefferson had slaves of his own since he was mature enough to realize what truly matters to slaves and what it remains for in their life time.
While many states in the South were utterly destroyed during the Civil War, the former Union states thrived. Large businesses that once made supplies for war now sought to expand into other territories. Simultaneously, large amounts of citizens left the countryside to work in factories. This led to a rapid growth in city populations. The transcontinental railroad was completed in 1869, allowing Americans to travel across the country much faster than ever before.
My poster is promoting Thomas Jefferson to be elected as the third president during the election of 1800 including my arguments why. I wrote and added a lot of meaning in the phrase, “Surely, if you are looking for someone to have a beer with you, turn to Aaron Burr. Otherwise, if you are looking for someone to run YOUR country, turn to Thomas Jefferson”. This phrase showed that despite how approachable Aaron Burr was that you could ‘have a beer with him’ was not United States president material. In addition, to further show that Thomas Jefferson would be a better president to run the country I made it sounds as if anything else that someone is looking for should turn to Jefferson because he is the only qualified to do so, like being the president

In eighteenth century term, to “Push” was to start a bout with the small sword, a element which ratifies that Thomas Butler who was of African descent was a fencing expert. Not only was he a master fencer he had attained some degree of renown, at least on a limited scale. When one contemplates that the the first identified reference to a fencing master in the American South, the next being Edward Blackwell, who in seventeen thirty-four published his article on the art of fencing. While not much is known about Thomas Butler, the above paragraphs verify that as early as the 1730s, it wasn’t unmanageable to attain fame and admiration as a black martial artist and instructor in white society.
William Jennings Brown was a beloved orator and political figure from the 1890’s till his death in the 1925. He was known for his abilities to capture a crowd and keep them enthralled for hours as he talked about anything. From an early age though he knew that he wanted to be like his father, following in his footsteps to the political realm. He made good use of his oratory skills and created a whole new way of running a presidential campaign. He also helped to create the bases for many new ideas that would lead to Franklin Roosevelts, New Deal Plan.
I chose to focus my posting on Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson was a very knowledgeable man. Jefferson had a lot of jobs like being a politician, scientist, inventor, statesman, and more. Thomas was a part of the Continental Congress, governor of Virginia, vice president, and a United States president. Thomas Jefferson did a lot during the eighteenth century in history.
For me the most significant change in political philosophy during this time is that philosophers wrote papers and inspired people to make a change from monarchy rule to that of the people who lived there. Well after John Locke had wrote his papers where he out lined his beliefs that a government who holds great power would always be tempted to use its authority to control the countrymen. Those same writings inspired Thomas Jefferson as he incorporated many of the philosopher’s own ideals & principles into America’s Declaration of Independence. The foundations of American government began to seed in the 17th and 18th century European Enlightenment. One such Political fact is THE PETITION OF RIGHT (1628) this extended the rights of common people,
During the period of 1870 to 1900 large corporations, such as the railway company, grew significantly in size, number, and influence. The cause of this was the need for a new way of transportation, the demand was great so the railways expanded all over the United States so that they could meet these demands. These large corporations affected the economy by making it easier to pay for everyday chores, politics in the way that it gave politicians too much power but in doing so gave normal limited power. The corporations had great power and influence which made them a huge impact to society.
Businesses use different methods to help the making and profits of a group of people. The business practices from the late 1800s were beneficial to America. The main new practices used were corporations and social Darwinism. Corporations are groups that sell stock shares. These stocks provided money to people who invested or bought part of these stocks, also stockholders would only lose what money they invested if a company failed.
In the later part of the 1800’s there were many big changes taking place. A few of which was the rise of cities, industrialization, and Big Businesses. Prior to this point in history many people made their own items to provide for themselves and businesses were mostly locally owned shops ran by people who knew their customers well and put the customers before anything else. However the growth of large companies and corporations changed this drastically. The owners knew nothing about their customers and their main concern was how much profit was made.
Thomas Jefferson’s works and ideas laid the foundation for several key aspects on the limits of the United States government, the idea of separation of church and state, and the importance of personal rights. Jefferson wrote many influential pieces of literature which pushed the concept of having limited government power. Jefferson wanted America not to be like the European monarchies that fell due to religious strife, so he emphasized a secular government. Jefferson, following closely with the ideas of John Locke, stressed the importance of the protection of individual rights against the government. Thomas Jefferson believed that a government should have limitations.
