THE PLACE OF AFRICA IN THE WORLD HISTORY
Africa’s place in the world history has varied depending on those who are writing it. The Europeans place Africa’s role as a minor isolated role which was of little importance at the world level. Africans have placed a lot of importance to Africa in the world crediting it with a lot of inventions and improved ways of doing things. Depending on what angle one looks at; it’s evident that Africa had a role to play in shaping the world history. To start with it is argued that the human species originated from Africa and then migrated to the rest of the world. This is shown by archeological and anthropological evidence found in Africa. It includes fossil finds in the Awash Valley in Ethiopia and Chad .This led to research that has concluded that all human beings have African ancestors. Thus it clearly shows that the first people on earth lived in Africa where the climate was warm. It is in Africa that they discovered fire and clothing that enabled them to keep warm. Thus they could now spread to the temperate regions away from the tropics which are cooler with minimal difficulties.
