Classroom management is important for the teachers as they have to monitor the students’ behaviour and performance in class. However, it is not easy to have 100% attention from the students in class. There will be some students with learning problems in class which will be elaborated on further.
In the 21st century, traditional way of educating will not be effective to the students due to the factors such as technology. Students now grow up with hand phones and computers. Images have the power to grab their attention. Therefore, with the use of visuals it can help to get the students’ attention in class.
The possible reasons why students are inattentive in class and are not participating in group work:

Asperger’s syndrome kids have restricted patterns of behaviours and interests or activities. Due to their narrow interest, they will only focus on topics that interest them. As a result, they will be less attentive in class.
Strategies to Implement
The student is inattentive in class and not participating in group work may have the reasons mentioned earlier. There are a few strategies or ways to help the student to be able to focus in class and participates in group activities.
Firstly, motivation is useful to get the student attention in class. If the student is motivated, their attention span will be longer. Learner’s motivation is the primary factor which influence learning and effective classroom management. Motivated students will have positive attitudes towards school and lessons in class.
