We, human, work together as a team in order to gain more power to achieve higher goals. However, no matter how hard we try, it is impossible for us to avoid conflict in our daily life no matter which position we are in. If the conflict cannot be handled properly, it might turn out to be a disaster which will affect the team efficiency in achieving their goals (Bunashe & Broder, 2015). Conversely, conflict between members is not necessarily a bad things though. As everyone that is in the team have different experiences and knowledge, a lot of stunning suggestion and ideas might be carry out during a positive conflict. (The Mind Tools Editorial Team, n.d.) Basic regulation should be set by the leader at the early days of the meeting or every meeting (Phillips, n.d.). These rules will help to solve the conflict as a leader can refer back the rules. For example, as there is a rule state that does not late for meeting otherwise should be punishing to avoid conflict of unfair for others members. Besides that, a leader can have a face-to-face discussion between the parties in conflict and find an agreement between the parties (Kettenhofen, n.d.). This is the most direct solution as the most important step in solving a problem is to identify reason of a problem. For instance, a leader can have a separate meeting between team members who involve in conflict. Build a positive relationship between leader and members to pursue a goal also is one of the solutions (Kohlrieser, 2007). By having a positive relationship, a leader can help to negotiation with the team members if there is a conflict happens between team members. For example, a leader can be more easily to know the needs and wants of every team members. So, an agreement can come out easily. It will make the project delay, difficult to work together, to achieve the goal or to complete the task. Sometime the team members does not take the right action plan to resolve the conflict. Several conflict solution between team members is the leader act as conflict mediator who can help to settle the conflict between individuals or groups effectively and efficiently, team members must try to tolerant and respect to each other in order to resolve the conflict that happened and be mindful of your word when talking to other people.
