Money is the root of all evil. Ashleigh’s father needed her to take $200 from her mother’s savings. Ashleigh was very hesitant yet curious when her father told her his plan. Ashes knew the pros and cons to this plan, but she would do anything to help out her dad. Ashleigh took her mother’s money because she knew her dad needed it, she didn’t think her mom would notice, and she was very interested in the plan to take the money. Ashes took her mother’s money because she knew her father needed it. Ashleigh’s father needed to straighten out finances and once he did that he would be ‘set for life’. The reader can see that Ashes’ father had trouble with money because he needed to borrow $200 from Ashes’ mother. He wouldn’t need $200 to go out to the diner, it had to be something big. Ashleigh’s dad said that once he paid the $200, he would be ‘set for life’. Ashleigh wants to help out her dad because he has always been good to her and kept her out of danger. Now it is Ashes turn to help her dad. She wants her dad to be happy and she can tell that once this debt is payed, he won’t have anymore problems.
