In the book Saving June, Hannah Harrington wrote “It’s harder than you think, to find someone who truly believes in your unequivocal, unconditional awesomeness.” Harrington is completely correct as a person like this is difficult to find; sometimes we wait our whole lives just to find this one person whom we can share with all of our troubles and excitements. My life has been full of troubling and exciting experiences, yet somewhere in the middle he and I became best friends. Many words can be used to describe my best best friend, Zachary, though adventurous, thoughtful, and positive are just a few. Zachary is extremely adventurous. He spends hours upon hours walking in the woods behind his house, exploring new parts every time he goes on an expedition. Sometimes he will pretend he is a spy on a secret mission who is researching a new territory; other times he will read a book while resting high up in a tree. He puts others before himself and is always willing to change his schedule to help others when they need it. If I am working on homework and do not understand the assignment, he stops everything to Skype call me and guide me through it the best he can. Even though we live three hours away, he cares enough to be available when I need him. In an instant he can recognize upsetness in my writing style and speech then pursues to make me happy again; he will continue to be silly until he knows I am smiling.
