Someone once said “Internships are just like footprints in the sand, each step signifies the journey taken.” At the first time I saw this quote, I was curious why the internship was compared with the journey. I have heard many times that when we are an intern, we just make coffee and do a copy of paper. However, I changed my mind after fishing 10 weeks of internship. During 2 months and 6 days of being an intern, I have learned a lot of things that were both expected and unexpected experiences. First, I learned to work under pressure. At my work place, a staff told me to think that I was one of the employees not only the intern. Therefore, when I do any work, I had to put all of my effort with it. Second, I found that working among various kinds of people, I had to have both flexibility and steadiness. For the real working, we could not meet all needs of everyone because we would not finish the work if someone wanted to do this, and the other one wanted to do that. I once was assigned to design a logo for one product. I did not have much time to do it neatly because we needed to speed up work, so I had to say that I could not follow all the condition. I love to communicate with other people in order to help them to know what they do not know. The professional experience gave me a chance to be a helper. I could help foreigners who did not understand Thai language to know how wonderful Thai ways are by explaining and teaching them about Thai culture, tradition and nature. The professional experience also impacted my professional goal which is to be a teacher.
