Life in egypt wasn’t easy, but they still lived life to the full. Even though they worked very hard, they had tons of fun. Egyptian daily life was focused on enjoying the time they had as much as possible and trying to make other 's lives equally memorable. Men worked out in the fields and traded, while women took care of the daily needs of their family. Although, sports, games, music, art and time with their friends and family were as much a part of Egyptian life as work.
Music was as important in ancient Egypt just as it is today. The party scenes on walls, songs on papyri, and musical instruments show us how much music meant to them. They had many festivals with singing, dancing, music and drinking. These were performed on everyday occasions. Men clapped rhythm

They saved a large amount of time for this everyday. Inscriptions on monuments indicate that they practiced wrestling, weightlifting, long jump, swimming, rowing, shooting, fishing, and many other ball games. Members of high class attended these and provided the equipment. Egyptian hockey was very similar to our hockey today. Their sticks were made from bent branches, and balls made of papyrus, covered in leather. Another sport, archery was very well known, and showed skill in aiming. Egyptian tug of war was played with two teams. Each team was lined up in a row with one person in the front. The people in the front grab each others hand and each team pulls. The kings, princes and commoners practiced fishing. There were numerous rods and hooks of various shapes and sizes. Boxing was exactly like ours today, very organized, except no padding or gloves. In weightlifting, they lifted very heavy sandbags. They ran marathons, as races of importance, and during celebrations, around the temples. They were often ran by the king.
