The experiences offered in Asian spas are a fusion of traditional practices based on the cultural beliefs of healing and adapted some alteration to match the modern day setting. The servicescape in Asian spas are usually the traditional interior design concept with furniture made from local stone and wood especially bamboo, yellow color and dim lighting to create the traditional Asian setting. In addition, Asian healing has a heavy use of essential oil that makes you seethe in order for it to work. Setting of the environments are matched with traditional music for the purpose of calming the mind to set body on rest. In conclusion, the primary motives of tourists travelling to certain destination varies depending on their primary motives. Though trend plays an extensive role in determining the choice of destination and types of treatment, the main purpose always tracks back to the primary motive which is to seek for the wellness of mind and body. The number of wellness tourists in India is growing positively by year indicating that India is doing well in terms of providing wellness treatment.
