This commemorative coin was based off of the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg. The Capitol was where Patrick Henry gave his speech Caesar Brutus. This speech was very inspirational and important to the colonists. This is why on the front side of the coin Patrick Henry’s face is shown along with his famous words “Give me liberty, or give me death!” These very inspirational words are a sign of liberty which is why on the back is the Grand Union Flag.
Being the only church in the area, it was the place where many historic heroes and figures went to worship. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, to name a few. What was very exceptional was that it was the only church that these people went to in during the Revolutionary War. This war was caused by many reasons. One of them being due to the French and Indian war, which made the complication between the British empire and the colonists of north America increase furthermore. Has one known about the first American colony? The colony that started an entire country? That amazing but horrible place was Jamestown. Jamestown was the first permanent colony in America, and it was located in Virginia, up the Chesapeake Bay. It took many deadly years to form with threats all around the colony, but it was able to survive.
Fort Ticonderoga had a been a key access point to Canada and the Hudson River Valley during the French and Indian War in 1755, so it was just as vital during the American Revolutionary War from 1775 until it was later recaptured by the British. The Continental Army realized that it would be important if they wanted to do anything in the northern part of the colonies they would need Fort Ticonderoga as a military hub. The fort was currently occupied by a British squadron. In order to capture the fort the Continental Army would need soldiers, and soldiers they got.
In early Williamsburg time it tells us how the British ruled and what laws there were. Later on, it tells us what type of rebellion there was and when it happened, because that was the main area for rebellion. Even later on it tells us what happened during the war. So although the other buildings represent that motto this one does the most.
The New York colony soil was fertile and great for farming which was the reason the British wanted to remove it from the hands of the Dutch. New York was named after James the Duke of York. The Dutch were the first to settle in New York but then was preccoupied by the English in 1674. When the Dutch occupied New York they called it New Amsterdam.
The legal status of blacks in early colonial Virginia is a hard issue to grasp and make sense of. It was not easy to determine the legal status of an individual of African descent in colonial Virginia because there were hardly any laws and regulations that were developed upon the arrival of the first group of blacks in 1619,through developing rules and regulation relating to slavery was how the legal status of people of African descent in colonial Virginia began to take place and into effect. It was when these rules and laws were already established was when Virginian colonists began to take notice of the blacks and how they were different, distinguishing them from the rest of the Virginians. In this paper the following issues will be discussed, how the first Africans came to Virginia, the legal status of blacks, how those laws came to be created, and the different type of methods that were used to distinguish blacks from the Virginians.

The 8th grade class took a 4 day trip to Washington. We did many things to explore Washington D.C. including visiting monuments. Some people think differently of how a monument should be made. Good monuments to some people could be to make people remember about the person or thing being remembered or to just reflect the person’s life or importance. Colonial Williamsburg was the capital of Virginia until 1779 while the American dream was taking shape. People across the globe came to the United States for a life like that of in Williamsburg. It was, at the time, the largest, and the most important of the American colonies. It had the largest population (approximately 5,000). The colony was a very wealthy and influential colony.
Beginning in the 1790’s, continuing into the 1800’s American politics became a brutal sport. Problems arose between the people as attention shifted from building a new federal government to how powerful that federal government would be. The decision of what America’s government would be and represent was more than urgent. Although American’s government was up in the air, citizens still made their wants for change known. For example, Franklin 's Address on Slavery (November 9, 1789) where he called for an end to slavery and gave ways that the tradition could be dismantled.
