It has come to my attention that there is an Ancient Rome quiz scheduled on Friday, March 9th. As interested as I am in ancient times, I do not believe that Friday is an ideal date for this test. The fact that this is gradually going to affect our grade, there should be more time for us to study. The more time we have, the more we can let our brains absorb this information. I am not just declaring the fact that we should have more time, there is scientific evidence supporting the class’ statement. One science backed reason that we need more time than just six days is ways that we study better. Scientists split a group of teenagers into two groups and instructed them to study differently. The first group did significantly better than second group, and that’s because studying for shorter amounts of time over the course of more days lets the information become more familiar to you. The more familiar you are with something, you become more confident in the subject. Confidence is essential when it comes to testing, but not too confident. This is will be the scenario if the test is worth many points on our grade, but we have enough time to study. The fact that this grade can really turn around our grade is intimidating, but the more familiar we are with the information, the better we will preform. Also, extra days will give us more time to figure out what time of the day we study more efficiently at. Some students argue that studying at night is better for them, because there is silence and tranquility, and you’re also more creative at night. That helps you ponder more original ways to remember
