The Importance of Discussing Violence in Today's Society

In today's society it is very important that we discuss violence, because it is beginning to get out of hand and extremely dangerous we have young children killing up one another every day and it is sad. When watching the news or getting on social media all you see is rest in peace, fatal shooting, mass shooting, and innocent students at school getting shot. For instance, the shooting that happen at Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida was the worst massing shooting since Sandy Hook Elementary in Newton, Connecticut. Also Las Vegas Strip shooting was the deadliest in Modern American history where fifty-eight was killed and five hundred injured. The man was twenty-six, married, wearing black, tactical gear and carrying a military style assault rifle when walked into First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs and opened fired. Investigator where not sure what happen to the killer, but they believed he had committed suicide. That night San Antonio police raided the killer's home with K9 and bomb squad units. Parents should encourage children to talk about what they see and hear try to be attentive to your child's feelings and encourage them to discuss what they have seen and heard. Minimize your child's exposure to violence it is proven that children who watch numerous amount of violence on television, movies or video games feel unprotected than those that do not, or it may desensitize them to violence.
