But first Great Britain was fighting France. They started the American Revolution by taxing the colonies to much. King George III needed more money to fight the the French. Then Great Britain got into a war with the colonies because of taxing them to much. “ The conflict arose from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain’s north American colonies and the Colonial government, which represented the British crown.

As a patriot I think the causes of the war were because of unfairness. I think that if the Britain would have been axtra fair none of this wreck would have happened. The fact the British government wanted us to pay taxes is enough to start this war. However there is way more that made us start a war. We Americans wanted to be independent and the Britain were messing that up.
Most of the long term causes were caused by the inequalities with Great Britain’s colonies in America and Great Britain. British had gained France’s colonies in North america as a result of the french and Indian war and were seeking to take over the American colonies both politically and economically. The British did this in order to receive the respect that they desired as its governor. However the Americans did not want to allow the British to take control because they were abusing their power as governor to enforce laws.
