In may of 2009, Lin Manuel Miranda peformed a rough version of a song that would later become the opening of a several tony winning award musical. Lin caught the hearts of many people with his hip-hop broadway musical about the founding father, Alexander Hamilton. Not only did tickets for the musical sell out but also Hamilton's biographies and related titles. The craze did not stop there, however, many people were intrigued a the letters between Hamilton and John Laurens. Their letters seemed to cross over the line of friendship into the more romantic realm. In the 1800s communication between two men were more lax and flowery. Hamilton was no anomaly to this way of communication;. Hamilton ws over-affectionate to everyone and was even synonymous to a feral tomcat, in connections with romantic conquest. There were many rumors of his numerous conquest throughout his lifetime. His grandchildren have also stokes the rumors of Laurens and Hamilton by withholding letters between them.
