Teenager’s relationships and decisions are impacted by outside influences. Adults and friends can impact the decisions that teenagers make. Teenagers sometimes take advice from people that they shouldn’t take advice from, which leads them to making risky decisions. Romeo and Juliet are teenagers who make many decisions about their relationships based on outside sources.

Romeo’s relationships with his friends have affected the decisions he has made. If his friends would not have convinced him to make these choices, everything that happened could have been avoided. Benvolio and Mercutio told Romeo to attend the Capulet’s party to find Roseline. His friends encouraged Romeo to sneak into a party that they should not have gone to. During Mercutio and Tybalt’s fight, Romeo tried to protect his friend by breaking up the fight. Parents should be protecting, as well as taking care of their children. To children, parents are role models because the children want to be like their parents. On the other hand, teenagers sometimes don’t listen to their parents because they feel like they are always right, and their parents don’t understand what they are going through. Some teenagers go to their parents for help and guidance of what choices they should make about certain things. Even though some teens trust their parents with helping them, there are many that do not let their parents know about the choices they make. With the help of parents, the teenager may be making a better choice than if they were to do it on their own. Juliet didn’t tell her parents much about what was actually going on and what decisions she had to make. That led her to making decisions that ended up with her death. Parents can have influences on their teenagers that may affect the decisions their child
