The Kawasaki Backpack Blower Incident

INTRODUCTION:
This incident involves two unknown male Hispanics attempting to steal the victim’s gardening equipment. During the incident, victim Rodriguez was dragged approximately 40 feet before the suspects fled from the scene. There are no suspects in custody.

2. Kawasaki Backpack Blower

EVIDENCE:

I took a series of digital photographs of victim Rodriguez’s injuries and of the recovered loss (Honda Lawn Mower and Kawasaki Backpack Blower) and uploaded them to VeriPic as evidence.

INJURIES:

During the incident, victim Rodriguez sustained an abrasion to his chin, an approximately 1-2 inch abrasion to his left wrist, and approximately 1-2 inch abrasions to both of his

El Molino Ave.) Rodriguez was in the living room with his grandson witness Fidel Cabrera, when his son witness Hugo Rodriguez (For the purpose of this report, Hugo Rodriguez will be referred to as “Hugo”) told him that two guys are stealing his gardening equipment. Rodriguez and Hugo both stepped outside on the front lawn to confront the suspects. Rodriguez saw Hugo throw a rock at the car, shattering the driver’s side rear window. Both suspects entered their vehicle, described as a dark metallic blue compact SUV (was not able to see license plate). Rodriguez ran over to the vehicle and saw his Honda Lawn Mower and Kawasaki Backpack Blower was in the bed of the suspect

Hugo yelled at them and told them to stop as he picked up a rock. Rodriguez threw the rock at the suspect’s vehicle shattering the driver’s side rear window. Both suspects got inside of the vehicle and turned the engine on. Rodriguez threw two more rocks at the suspect’s vehicle. Hugo saw victim Rodriguez jump in the bed of the suspect’s vehicle as they drove off. Hugo saw victim Rodriguez get dragged approximately 40 feet as he removed his equipment from the suspect’s vehicle. Hugo saw victim Rodriguez fall from the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect’s fled north on El Molino and made a left on Atchison
