The novel, “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini and the short story, “The Scarlet Ibis” by James Hurst are similar in plot structure and theme. These two stories are quite similar because they are narrated in flashback to a point in time where the main characters, the Brother and Amir, feels remorse about doing something terrible in their past days.
