Confucius, the founder of the Chinese philosophy Confucianism, was born during a time of crisis and violence during the Zhou Dynasty, which eventually became the Warring States Period. He had a deep desire to restore the morals and order in China’s society, which were lost during the decline of the dynasty. He believed that if China was organized around five basic relationships social order, harmony, and good government would be restored. Confucius became the minister of justice and fixed the crisis evolving in the empire. Confucianism would be the most effective form for running a high school with regards to the dress code because confucianism had a good balance between set rules and freedom, behavior since confucianists don’t expect students to speak when someone else is talking because of good morals, and academics due to their strong beliefs and encouragement for students to do well.

Due to the fact that Confucianists highly value education, they expect students to do well and try their absolute hardest on every assignment, test, or project. Confucianists would also expect a student who might not be doing very well to seek extra help from a teacher after school because they believe everyone should would hard for themselves and want to learn. Being educated could turn a humbly born person into a gentlemen, according to Confucius. Having a Confucianist as a teacher would help students be comfortable in class because no Confucianist should have the fear of answering a question incorrectly because “...to say you know when you know, and to say you do not when you do no...is knowledge” (Analect of Confucianism 2.16). Therefore, a Confucianist would admit they are don’t know something because that would allow them to learn something new and gain more knowledge.
