In Ray Bradbury's “Fahrenheit 451”, the character Guy Montag is similar to the prisoner in “The Allegory of the Cave” because, Montag and the Prisoner were brought into the world with forced opinions and thoughts that shaped how they feel and think. Both Montag and the prisoner had nothing to look back on that showed a different opinion, so they were both stuck to believe anyone at face-value. These forced opinions however, were later changed after they were revealed by a character (the old man or Faber) and caused them to shed a whole new set of skin.
The monsters are due on maple street by rod Serling, Das Bus the Simpsons and Lord of the lies by.. All have a common thread that links them together. The common thread is, a group of people end up turning into savages because of what others think. In the book the monsters are due on Maple Street by Rod Serling is an episode from the twilight zone that has a good example of how people can turn into savages when others put you in a position where you cannot decide what to believe.

Sleepy Hollow The TV series Sleepy Hollow that airs on FOX is a modern take on Washington Irving’s classic story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The series combines both a present day and Revolutionary War setting with adaptations from the Book of Revelation. The main adaptations that drives the series is from Revelations 6:1-17. These verses talks about the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse: Death, Famine, Pestilence, and Conquest.

The Maze Runner is where a boy named Thomas and many other teenagers are stuck in a place they call the glade. The boys don’t know how they got in the glade or how to get out of it. The glade is pretty big and the boys created a functioning society in the glade farming food and water. There is a maze to get out of the glade but it's really hard for the boys to figure out. “Outside the walls there is a maze and maybe a way to get out”(Salas 2).

The checkered past and symbolism of the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s novel ,The Shining, reflects the characters’ pasts and influences their actions in order to show the building as more of an antagonist (of sorts) than a setting. One example of support for the claim is when Jack Torrence is having a dream after discovering the blood and bits in the Presidential suite from a gang fight years prior, where he believes that he is killing an intruder of the hotel with a mallet, but as he threw the mallet down, “the face below him was not of the intruder but of Danny’s. It was the face of his son. Then the mallet crashed home, closing his eyes forever. Suddenly Jack awoke standing over Danny’s bed, his fists clenched tightly.”
The teleplay “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street,” by Rod Serling, is all about prejudice and suspicion. It tells the story of the citizens of Maple Street, which is the victim of an alien invasion. The neighbors turn on one another in suspicion and end up just about wiping each other out. The teleplay negatively criticizes the people of Maple Street, showing that they reacted poorly and should be an example of what not do to in a tense situation.
Thomas may or may not become a runner, but either way will have Gally at his neck, all while trying to find the purpose of the Glade. Thomas is just another mystery added to the Maze, and he must figure out why. This new life is dangerous and full of secrets, and it is up to Thomas and the Gladers to discover what lies
For example, the Gladers thought that they will never make it out of the Maze, but they took chances and by doing that they were able to successfully escape the Maze. Other themes include, friendship, bravery, persistence, and reflection. In the novel, at one point Thomas witnessed two people struggling to get inside the walls of the maze, so Thomas decided to go inside the maze and help them out. He was then assigned to be in the Slammer for a day because of him breaking the number 1 rule, which is to never enter the maze unless you are a runner. "I didn 't do anything wrong.
In the Maze Runner, there are prominent themes of order and stability. These themes hold this entire trilogy together with the books as well as the movies. Stability is the state of being stable, without stability there would be chaos and anarchy. In Maze Runner, the stability is based on everyone doing their jobs correctly and effectively.
Running the Maze Imagine being trapped inside of a place with no memory of how you got there and the only way to get out was through a maze. James Dashner’s young adult, science fiction novel, The Maze Runner is about just that. There were a brunch of themes in the novel but the most important ones were maintaining rules and orders, making sacrifices, never giving up, and manipulation, even though something may look simple it might be harder than it seems. All these themes were practiced by Thomas and other Gladers in the Glade. Dashner also wrote the sequels to the Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials and Death Cure.
Dystopian literature would focus on the ruined society and it was important and hard to survive. James Dashner in his novel “The Maze Runner” tested the youngsters’ brain to seek their future in the middle of the pressure. The youngsters alone had to survive with their limited possibilities. Thomas, one of the teenagers helped the other to solve the maze and to escape the glade. With the arrival of Thomas in Glade, the life of the Gladers is explained.
