I. Microsystem
The microsystem is one of the most influential levels of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems. Throughout the microsystem, children experience the most direct interactions leading to the most influence in that child’s life. Many factors such as family, peers, religion, school, sports and other activities have a direct influence on a child’s development.
Taylor Blake Anders was born on December 14, 1994, in Huntsville, AL to Rhiannon Brandon. Taylor was the first child and the first grandchild born to the family. From an early age, Taylor has experienced many direct interactions which influenced her overall development. These linkages appeared in many places, from parents to peers, from parents to school, and from parents to sports. These linkages created a safe, loving, and close environment. Since Taylor’s mother was very involved with different microsystems, they have developed a very close relationship built on trust and respect. Taylor and her mother easily bonded in almost all scenarios. Some examples of mesosystem interactions included peers and friends coming over to her house regularly because her parents liked them and vice versa. Other examples include the involvement of her mom in the school system. Taylor’s mom was also the PTA president, this allowed Rhiannon to participate in the school setting, and along with planning fun events that the two attended together. In addition to these examples, her mom also took part in coaching Taylor’s softball team for many years. Sports became an important aspect of Taylor’s human development. As stated before, her involvement in sports helped build Taylor’s character and develop her into the person she is
