The Contrasts Between “The Most Dangerous Game” and CSI Miami While CSI miami’s episode, “Hunting Grounds” is inspired by Richard Connell's famous short story, “The Most Dangerous Game” they are very unique because of how the storyline takes place differently. They both have many similarities such as having a murderer and a victim, but also many differences such as how they find the murderer and what happens to him later. In the short story, “The Most Dangerous Game”, Rainsford knew that Zaroff was a murderer because of the way he described his head collection and how he would play the game with shipwrecked sailors. Although, in the CSI miami episode, the investigators would find clues such as a ladder to a treehouse and a bow and arrow next to it on the ground. This gives an explanation of how they did not know who was the murderer was. Unlike each other, they both have unique clues given to solve who the murderer is. In the end of the short story “The Most Dangerous Game”, Rainsford kills Zaroff to succeed in the game, whereas in the show, CSI Miami the murderer goes to jail. In the short story, “The Most Dangerous Game”, Zaroff is defeated by Rainsford and Rainsford can go to sleep safely after he succeeded the game against Zaroff. although In the CSI Miami episode, the police showed up right before “Zaroff” killed another person, he then went to jail. Zaroff used dogs to make the game harder for rainsford while in the show CSI Miami, many crime experts were on the case to find the murderer. In the short story, “The Most Dangerous Game”, Zaroff and his dogs were on the hunt to find rainsford. Although in the CSI Miami show, Crime experts were on the hunt to find the murderer by finding clues thought the journey. Overall both, the short story and the show
