In How to Tame a Wild Tongue, Gloria Anzaldua uses rhetoric and personal anecdotes to convey and persuade her argument that Latin Americans are forced to relinquish their cultural heritage, and to conform to white society. The evidence she provides comes in a variety of platforms, both literal and rhetorical. Rhetorical, being through emotional, logical, and credible appeals through her text. Literal being explicitly stated, without any further analysis necessary. When she utilises the modes of appeals, they are subtle within the texts, which leads the reader to analyse as they read.
Stand and Deliver was a great movie with many lessons to learn. There were many characters in the movie that exhibited many behaviors and on-course principles, but I will talk about three that grabbed my attention more. The three characters that grabbed my attention the most was Angel, Pancho, and Mr. Escalante. Angel exhibited victim speak because he would in the beginning he was not in the right path. Angel hung out with cholo’s who did not care about school and did whatever they wanted.
Catcher in the Rye For the project, I chose to complete the movie poster. I decided to assign this to myself because I think if a movie has an eye catching and intriguing poster, the movie may incline more of an interest to view. Another reason I chose the poster was, as an artistic individual, I believe this was the perfect fit as an assignment, it would make work easier, more enjoyable and engaging. By choosing the movie poster it assisted with an increase of learning and understanding repetitiveness and connecting it to the main theme of the story, which the poster depicts. There are many ways to display what the story was, I believe a big part of the story was about saving and protecting innocence.
The poster of a propaganda poster says, “ Jap Beast and his plot to rape the world”, the image shows two Japanese soldiers holding a young lady hostage while she is on the ground. I feel like the photo is trying to show us that they were holding her against her will and you can save her by joining the military. They used many types of propaganda to make Japanese people look evil. For example, a document says, “Keep this horror away from your home”, in the picture it shows an angry Japanese soldier holding a lady with a knife in his other hand. The photo is persuading many people to try and protect their house from the Japanese.
It aims to attract viewers who seek a more profound understanding of the impact of war on individuals and communities. In conclusion, the posters for "Kelly's Heroes" and "1917" showcase how visual design can be used to create compelling arguments for movies. The posters convey the films' unique themes, tones, and genres, offering a glimpse into what audiences can expect from these films. By analyzing their visual elements, we can gain a deeper appreciation of the posters' effectiveness in attracting their target
Japanese forces landed on the northern coast of Papua, in 1942. Their goal was to capture Port Moresby, which was located at the southern coast, in order to do that, they had to make their way overland along the Kokoda track. Their objective was to do something that would allow them to have the control of Papua, and a base from which to attack Australian mainland (because Papua is close to northern part of Australia), and shipping in the Pacific. The Kokoda action is remembered as one of the most difficult operations by Australian troops in World War II. The action lasted until November 1942.
The poster depicted a Japanese soldier carrying a naked, white women. Many posters like this one demonstrated severe amounts of racism in order to cast the enemies as less than human. This influenced the audience to then morally justify the way they feel about the enemy. In summation, the intended audience of the propaganda had a hefty impact on what the subject of the poster was and what its goal

Foster wk 1, The Formula for Credibility is pretty simple. It deals with the key aspects of Competence, Caring, and Character, and in reality, it can be said that is really obvious. When it comes to credibility, it is asked for and needed in many different things in the world today, such as a college course that asks for the students to provide the sources that was used for reference and that is credibility. Credibility itself has to do with a lot of trust and such, as well as it is very important to have between one person and another person, oen business and another business, and so on. Credibility is very important even when it comes to such things as an educational degree such as a Bachelors in Criminal Justice degree from a certain university such as Bethel University.
The political system in Poland after World War II greatly influenced the development of Polish poster design. Beginning in 1945, Poland was governed by a Soviet-supported Communist regime – the Polish People’s Republic. Under this Communist government, all media including the poster were given an exalted status although subject to almost complete censorship. Posters were commissioned by the state as a propaganda tool for social causes and cultural events. During this time, the Polish School of Posters moved poster design toward fine art.
Crashing waves on a beach with a magnificent sunset in the background, a picture perfect scene for a summer romance. The magic mood is quickly turned gloomy by the sweet Australian accent of Sandy Olsson exchanging her goodbyes with her summer love, Danny Zuko. The opening scene of Grease may seem [depressing] but it sets up for one of the most interesting love stories put to film. Grease is a movie with great musical numbers accompanied with wonderfully executed dance routines and an unforgettable plot. Although there are questionable incidents throughout, it will always be classic.
