The Nation’s High school Students Success story From my point of view, before president Obama took office, was that high school students were struggling very hard to succeed, because students preferred to drop out of school rather than to receive a diploma. Back then there was not much of a good influence on the teens as there is today. Nerveless, this generations of students are willing to work hard because they have someone to look up to. For instance, president Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have spoken highly about receiving higher education. This makes students want to better themselves. Thus, Americans should be satisfied with the progress high school students have made, because they will be able to get better jobs, attend universities, and take care of themselves.

For example, this fall Bowie State University welcomed over one thousand freshmen this year and Morehouse brought in over five hundred freshmen. From my point of view how the teens view our president changed their way of thinking. When President Bush was in office there were more students dropping out of high school than there are today. For example, “back in the day” my vice principle would tell the students that were freshmen “to look to your left then, look to your right that person right next to you will not be graduating with you.” With that type of discouragement, it changed my opinion about education. By the time gradating day arrived only three hundred out of nine hundred students graduated. Just recently First Lady Michelle Obama participated in a rap video about going to college.
