Friends. These are people who are always there for you. They are reliable, caring, and kind. The theme of the book “The Outsiders” is friendship. The Greasers are always there for each other. The book “The Outsiders” displays the theme of friendship. There are so many close relationships in the story. The Greasers, Ponyboy, Sodapop, Darry, Johnny, Dally, Steve, and Two-bit are always there for eachother. Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry are all brothers. Johnny is the gang’s pet. Dally is the bad boy. Steve and Two-bit are other members of the gang. They are called Greasers by the Socs because they use a lot of grease for their hair. The Greasers are also on the poorer side opposite from the Socs who are the wealthy rich kids. This group of friends, the Greasers all support each other and really care for each other in the tough times. All the boys trust each other and back each other up.
