The chemist I picked is Harold Clayton Urey. He was born in Walkerton, ID, on April 29, 1893. He died on January 25, 1981, in La Jolla, San Diego, CA. He was 88 years old. He studied at several different places, Columbia University, University of Montana, and University of California Berkeley. He studied thermodynamics. He received his Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1934. He wrote the books, The Planets: Their Origin and Development, and Atoms, Molecules and Quanta with A.E. Ruark. He was also the editor of the Journal of Chemical Physics during 1933-1940.
