Indigenous people for decades have significantly impacted their environment through fire practices. Their applications have encouraged the protection of wildlife, decreased the amount of greenhouse gases produced, and created a bigger supply of secluded carbon while strengthening their sacred bond with the land. Indigenous fire practices have some negative impacts though such as a risk of the blaze spreading into different areas, damage to infrastructure and property and an impact on air quality.
