Conspiracy theories exist in the world all around us today, but some theories may not be totally true. Maggie Koerth-Baker speaks of many different well-known conspiracy theories in her essay, “Why Rational People Buy Into Conspiracy Theories,” including the September 11 attacks. On September 11, 2001, a group of Muslims hijacked a few planes and flew them into the Twin Towers in New York as well as the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., because they thought this would please their god. The event left America with much destruction and grief. However, over the years different people began to suggest that the event was an inside job and that the U.S. government helped arrange the awful massacre.
Document Based Assignment 2 On September 11, 2001 terrorists attacked our country causing one of the most devastating events in United States history. Islamic extremists seized control of four airplanes, crashing two of them into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and the last in Pennsylvania. Overall they killed 3,000 people and another 6,000 were terribly injured.9/11 is a day the U.S. will never forget, paying respect every year to all those who sadly died. There are many clues leading up to this incident showing Osama Bin Laden’s hatred towards the U.S. and the Americans reaction to him.
Every American knows of the horrifying terror attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001, in New York and Washington, DC. The terrorist organization al Qaeda hijacked four airlines and flew two of them into the World Trade Center in New York, and one of them into the Pentagon in Washington. The fourth plane was stopped mid flight by its brave passengers and did not reach its intended target. Innocent civilians were now the casualties of war waged by an extremist muslim terrorist group based out of Afghanistan. The United States had never witnessed any terrorist attack of this size on its own soil previous to 2001.
From my research, you can say it was a terrorist attack. Japan sent hundreds of planes to attack pearl harbor, and it was a devastating result. The Japanese destroyed 20 America vassals, including 8 giant battleships, and killed than 2,500 people and 1000 severely wounded. This is an honestly very easy answer, when another country intruded America and killed people and destroyed buildings, this is what many people know as a terrorist attack. I figure that when people think about the pearl harbor attack, they soon start to think about 9/11.

The events of the day were summarized as 19 militants associated with the terror group al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out targeted attacks in the United States. The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda. They believed that it was impossible that someone could hate America that much. It was true, and it left lasting effects on Americans everywhere. The terrorist attacks on 9/11 have caused many debates over the years since they occurred back in 2001. Thousands of Americans lost their lives on the days of the attacks and to this day the sorrow hangs with us. Security was a huge debate of the time because America is supposed to be the safest nation there is, so how did this happen? America had lots of changes to make the attacks on September 11, 2001.

The aim of this attack was to drive two bomb loaded trucks into the basement of a building to bring down both of the towers of the World Trade Center. The mission was not accomplished, but the attack did kill six people. The organizer of this attack was Ramzi Yousef, whose uncle went on to be the operational commander of the attack at the World Trade Center on 9/11.
