On May 6th, 1861 , Arkansas made one of the most idiotic choices it has ever made, it succeeded from the union. When the original vote took place , five delegates voted to not join the confederacy , but when asked to retake the vote, all but one had suddenly changed their mind. How would they so easily change their minds , probably because something else other than a convincing argument had been involved. All but one man said we should secede, so Arkansas did what the majority voted, but just because there is a majority, doesn’t make it right. Arkansas was in a extremely tight spot during the decision and that definitely impacted the final choice.
Waco is a growing city in Central Texas with a population of about 130,000 people. Within this growing city lies a private, baptist university with a growing reputation for success in college football, Baylor. Baylor is a modern example of overrated success, the American bandwagoner 's dream, and the copycat system of head coaches today in football. Over the past few years Baylor has become known for their high octane offense, where they use speed to accelerate passed defenses to score, and they do score a lot, and the don 't let up.

Since its debut in 1998, the Football Bowl Subdivision has used the Bowl Championship Series to determine its champion. The goal was to get rid of the idea of having two champions. This system has been the subject of some controversy. The controversy is over whether the Football Bowl Subdivision should get rid of the way the current format that favors the playoff. Considering the fact that they are one of the few leagues, whether it is college or pro, that does not have an end-of-year tournament to determine their champion.
It has been one long debate since the 2016 Fiesta Bowl with regards to who Notre Dame should start at quarterback in the season opener at Texas. While the talk has created some great anticipation as head coach Brian Kelly decides who will be under center this year, the lack of media concern with anything else considering the fighting Irish has almost been pathetic. Pros and Cons There are several pros to attending Appalachian State University. First of all App is a great school for social sciences (Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology) which is going to be my intended major. I already have friends who have a house that I could move into and I wouldn’t have to sign the lease. I also love the vibe of the campus; I remember when I had visited over spring break that there was a random drum circle going on in the middle of campus which was pretty cool. I know many people who attend Appalachian.
As a student today, I'm not 100% fit for Georgia Tech for various reasons. However, this doesn't necessarily drive me away from wanting to attend there. As I see myself fitting there in a few ways and see lots of opportunity for my future in attending there. Academically, I'm currently not cutting it for Georgia Tech.

I want to be admitted into UW Oshkosh to help me have a better education and brighter future. My high school diploma is the foundation of my education but my college education will be the main structure for my future. UW Oshkosh will provide me with more than just a degree, it will provide me with an experience that I don’t think I can find in any other college. I know UW Oshkosh is the right college for me. I am a good student for UW Oshkosh because I plan to be an involved member of the Oshkosh campus community, I am a hard worker, and I know getting a degree is how I will obtain a career I want.
I learned about Occidental from my family, my cousin Brian Smith is the offensive coordinator for Oxy's football team and his wife Liane Smith works for Oxy as well. When I visited Oxy I was able to experience the school for what it really is, an amazing community. Everyone I talked to, students and staff, were very friendly and made me feel right at home. I was able to attend the homecoming barbecue and football game and it really left me with a great feeling about the school. My main interest in Occidental is that it is a liberal arts school.
