Abortions are a very serious and controversial topic that has been speculated for ages. Some people believe abortions should not be allowed in any instance, others believe that they should be allowed for situations where rape was involved, and there are even some people who think they are free will and can be used whenever. I think it is very important to be able to understand both sides, although it is a highly debatable and sensitive topic. Ultimately, it comes down to your morals and if you are pro-life or pro-choice.

What this is saying is that if you could make the decision to drop the petri dish and not the baby than you place higher importance on the baby that was already born. To some people this would imply that the fetus in the petri dish is not an actual baby.
One of the main reasons people believe abortions should not be allowed is because it is considered murder. Once the egg is fertilized and you show up pregnant on a test, you are growing a human. Therefore, getting an abortion would be killing someone. People will argue that getting an abortion should warrant jail time just as murders get jail time. In Oklahoma they even passed a resolution declaring that abortion is the “murder of an unborn child.” The resolution accuses the U.S. Supreme Court of having “overstepped its authority and jurisdiction” by issuing decisions in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey and calls for the Oklahoma Supreme Court to stop interfering with state-passed abortion legislation. It also reminds sheriffs, district attorneys, and judges that abortion is already a criminal offense under two currently unenforceable state laws and claims that “God’s law” also prohibits abortion.
