Ann Richards once stated, “america is still the country of fair play.” How is it fair if every day naive animals are being killed and judged just for being non-native? Non-native species are being murdered. They are not harmful nor are they dangerous. Yet, they are still being mistreated. We humans should take a step back and let nature take its course. Alien species can be and are extremely beneficial. Invasive species aren’t as bad as humanity has made them out to be. Emma Marris states, “there are non-natives that we actually like” (Marris, 2014). For example, the non-native spartina grass has harbored the native and endangered California clapper rail. As the spartina grass has been brutally attacked, the clapper rails numbers have had a downfall. National Geographic stated, “Leave them alone, more and more conservationists are arguing” (Marris 2014). Who are we to state wrong many informed individuals? These animals deserve to be respected and be left undisturbed. These marvelous creatures aren’t all troublesome. Why should they all be wrongly punished? …show more content…

CNN declared, “The value of pollination of food crops by bees in the U.S. alone is estimated at $16 billion and insect pollinators, in general, contribute $29 billion to U.S. farm income” (Spivak, 2015). “How could something non-native be so profitable?”, some might ask. The truth of things is that the public has been misinformed with false accusations against this group of creatures. Maria Spivak says, “not only would humans be affected, but the ecosystem would also be greatly damaged” (Spivak, 2015). Bees aren’t just a crucial part of our world.
