The Pros And Cons Of Alternity Records

The LA Sound is in receipt of your comments of October 11, 2016. Unfortunately, it is clearly apparent that Alternity Records has either failed to read and comprehend the Agreement, or has grossly misunderstood the Agreement to which both parties named above have signed and agreed to on September 29, 2015.

The Agreement between Alternity Records and The LA Sound for the distribution of the CD entitled ‘New Space Age Materials’ (hereinafter referred to as CD or CDs) by Ron Bruner Sr., released on the LA Sound label (herinafter referred to as ‘LAS’), is for a twenty-four (24) month period, starting on September 29, 2015, ending on September 28, 2017. As clearly noted in the Agreement, the ONLY reason(s) for which the Agreement can be terminated

LAS has not violated any of the above conditions of the Agreement, and Alternity records has not accused nor does it possess any material proof of LAS doing so at any time during the Agreement period. Thus, any and all claims of Alternity Records for early termination of the Agreement are null and

is the sole and exclusive owner of the CD, and the same named CD’s recordings, copyrights, and all proprietary rights contained therein. Alternity Records has also agreed in writing that it shall not challenge or dispute any of Licensor’s exclusive rights, title and interest in and to the Recordings or the copyrights thereof. Accordingly, Alternity Records has the responsibly to ensure and protect the rights of the CD from any and all forms of infringement. In this case, Alternity Records has clearly failed to comply with the agreement, as evidenced by City Hall Distributor’s entry which shows Alternity Records as the label of record for the CD, while continuing the illegal use the LAS bar code and registration from Nielsen Soundscan and ISRC. Whether intentional, or unintentional, known or unknown, complicit or naïve, the mere act of being aware of City Hall removing LAS from the record of the CD and replacing it with Alternity Records, Alternity Records has failed to uphold its agreement that it will not contest any dispute for copyright of the
