What would you contribute to the UMSI community and to the field as a whole? I have been out of school long enough to know I still have much to learn, and taking break from education has only galvanized me with a renewed drive to complete my degree. My determination to succeed in your program is palpable and something that would be impossible to curtail. Furthermore, with my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my passion for understanding the human mind, I would bring a holistic view to the table. Taking into account the user’s feelings first and the raw data second, because my approach to creating better user experiences always starts with the user, inside and outside of the classroom. Ultimately, being a part of a community is to be a part of a family. Helping each other through struggles and celebrating together during successes. Within each of the areas of interest the School offers multiple degrees with the option to dual enroll or tailor a degree to meet the needs of the student. Each degree requires its student to complete a Mastery course during their second year in the program. The purpose of these courses is to challenge the student to demonstrate a level proficiency and internalization of the course material that is required for one to apart of the information profession. Along with the mastery course students also have the added benefit of the Career Pathways.
