Why do scientists test on animals? Shouldn’t they stop? When testing if a product and medicine is safe to use people turn to animals. Many people worry about using animals for testing whether or not if it is fair for both cases. Scientists are questioning it if there is a way to help the sick without having to test on animals. Both sides have very strong statements about testing on animals and not. However, animal testing should stop because animals end up roughly abused, humans and animals are different, and there are other alternatives.
To begin with, animals shouldn’t go through testing anymore because they end up roughly abused. According to Humane Society International “Animals are roughly force-fed, forced to inhale noxious compounds, deprived of food and water, physically restrained for prolonged periods, and burned; some of them reportedly even have their neck broken and decapitated.” Due to testing animals aren’t safe and can die because of force. Animals will have a hard time understanding after testing. If nobody does anything animal cruelty will continue and it will hurt animal subjects both

Thomas Hartung professor of evidence- based toxicology of John Hopkins University agree with the claim. Thomas states “ This statement is a direct contradiction from what proponents believe about how closely related animals and human are anatomically and biologically, because of the many metabolic, cellular, and anatomical difference between two species. Using rats for toxicity, for example, must not be accepted as reliable since humans are nowhere close to being 70-kilogram rats.” Meaning humans and animals are both mammals but we’re technically not the same. Medicine used during animal testing shows that it is only effective on animal. The effect of this is people will still end up sick and some medicine will not take effect on them. Obviously, humans and animals are
