The Webster Dictionary defines automation as an automatically controlled operation of an apparatus, process, or system by mechanical or electronic devices that take the place of human labor. So on that note automation was created for many reasons. Some of them may include, it increases productivity because not only can employes no get hurt when they are not even there wich would obviously slow down productivity, also because robots can not get tired and need to stop they could also work a lot longer hours without needing to stop. They are creating new jobs, new and better jobs that may pay more they may even be a better fit for you. As said in “How Artificial Intelligence and Robots will Radically Transform The…”, article it proves my point even further for example it says “As has happened throughout history, of automation some jobs got destroyed but new and often better jobs were created”(Maney N.Pag). When old jobs have been taken over by the automated robots they always create new ones and they are even better, as the quote states because this has happened before and it worked out in the long run and you should always trust past experiences because they help you learn. Again in “How Artificial Intelligence and Robots will Radically Transform The…”, Maney is saying that once again automation creates new and better jobs he says this as, “In Michigan and Gilbarco veeder-root in north carolina hired software coders, engineers, sales staff and project managers.”(Maney N.Pag). This is also another history this gas company always used to have attendants that were helping you pump your gas and you wouldn't even have to leave your car but then they created the new automated machines were you had to do it yourself and as it says this helps us create new jobs because they need people to program and code the machines and people to help them. Also it saves you money by not having to tip the person helping you, because you can’t tip a machine. Once again not only are the automated machines doing something good by creating you jobs.
