Everyone at one point in their lives have wonder what it would be like to have an identical twin. I know I have at times. Can you imagine having someone on earth with the same DNA sequences as yourself? To know that another person is the exact reflection as yourself physically and biologically. The only thing physically that would be different would be your finger prints, foot prints and teeth marks. Other than that it would be like looking in a mirror. Some people may wonder how it would be like to have twins; dressing them in cute matching outfits, or having to buy two of everything. When parents find out they are having conjoined twins they have two options, go on with the pregnancy or to terminate it. To determine if a woman is pregnant with conjoin twins, doctors use ultrasounds. According Mayo Clinic, “Conjoined twins can be diagnosed using standard ultrasound as early as the first trimester. More-detailed ultrasounds and echocardiograms can be used about halfway through pregnancy to better determine the extent of the twins' connection and functioning of their organs”. If it’s determined that the woman is having conjoined twins then a MRI is done. An MRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging. MRI’s are used to disclose how the babies are intertwined and what organs they share. The parents will then use the test result to make their choice. To terminate it or go on with the pregnancy. If a woman decide to abort the babies then she will have to deal with the, emotional, psychological and physical effect of abortion. Some physical effect of having abortion are, abdominal pain and cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, spotting and Bleeding. Also they may face backlash from society and some family members.
