She said why not get a political asylum. This is what Dreger is talking about. Conjoined twins challenge the norms that we have established in our society. This is how people draw the line. If someone isn’t either male or female, they will undergo surgery so that they can fit into a category.

There have been many changes among the characters in the recent chapters(before 29).One character that changed was Bobbi. Bobbi has definitely gotten nicer and has less attitude. I know this because she helped Mibs with her bathing suit and talks to her in the pool. Not too long ago, Bobbi wouldn 't care to help Mibs, nor would she talk to her. Another character who has changed is Fish.

While I realize that few people have the opportunity to experience such a close bond, this “twin thing” has hindered my individual development. Even though I realize that it is hard for people to distinguish me from my identical twin, it is frustrating to be always referred to as “the twins.” People

There are also studies in neuroscience that show that “patterns of brain organization appear similar between gay men and heterosexual women and between lesbian women and heterosexual men” (Rahman). Independent research groups have also conducted research on twins to try to figure out patterns in sexuality and have found that “genetic factors explain about 25-30% of the differences between people in sexual orientation”
Siamese twins occur once every 200,000 live birth. Approximately 50 percent of Siamese twins arrive stillborn, and 35 percent survive only for one day. Siamese twins are genetically identical and always have the same gender. The twins develop from the same fertilized egg, and they share the same amniotic cavity and placenta. Twinning occurs in one of two ways: either the mother releases two eggs instead of the usual egg, or only one egg divides after fertilization.
Studies show that nurture is more responsible for the way you act. Nurture dictates how you respond to others. It is true that many identical twins are a lot alike, but people don’t notice the differences between them. For example, the Jim twins were a lot alike, but I think that is just a coincidence. Anais and Sam both had the same laugh, but they also had different jobs.
