After nearly fifty days in the White House, President Trump has done an excellent job. On his second day in office he vowed to destroy the Islamic State, and on his ninth day he fulfilled his promise of a 5 year-ban on officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government, and a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government, which was a promise kept. (foxnews.com) My favorite quote by my President Trump is “My policy is to learn from the past, focus on the present, and dream about the future. " I think that this quote describes him perfectly as a president.
Did you know that president Donald J. Trump is targeting about 8 million people to be deported with the vast majority of that number being Hispanics? The way that president Donald J. Trump won the election has been a controversial issue amongst the people who didn't vote for him, therefore making him one of the most hated presidents to ever hold office. Because of this and many other reasons including, being discriminatory against other races, objectifying women, and not having any prior experience in law and order or government, I think that president Trump should not be in office and should not have the honor of being called President of the United States. First, Trump is discriminatory against all races that are not white.
In The textbook “Presidents and the American Presidency,” Han says that the key to running for president is to appeal to the voters who are undecided and to convince the partisan voters to come out and support their candidacy (Han 110). Examining President Donald Trump’s performance from the first presidential debate of 2016, show how President Trump met some of these things but also did not meet them all. One of the things a candidate must do is appeal to the base of their party, in this case the Republican Party. Some ways that President Trump did this in this debate was by addressing the topics of: lowering taxes, restoring law and order, and pressing Secretary Clinton to release her emails. First on the topic of taxes, he stuck to the traditional republican platform (Republican).
Business groups and unions are pushing their support behind Donald Trump proposed infrastructure spending plan pressuring congress to prevent it from failing. During the presidential campaign then candidate Trump promised for a trillion dollar infrastructure plan. His plan which is heavily influenced through Keynesian economics is that flooding the economy with infrastructure projects such as the rebuilding of roads, airports and bridges would not only help improve the infrastructure of the United States but create a large amount of jobs. However because of the many large proposals on Trumps agenda this is in some ways taking a back seat to the more talked about issues. To prevent it from being kicked under the rug lobbyist from both unions
On November eighth, America goes to the polls to elect the forty-fifth president, America should choose Donald John Trump. One reason to vote for Donald Trump is because he is pro (for) building the fence/wall along the United States - Mexico border. Building the wall will mean fewer agents are needed in fenced areas than unfenced sections of the border. With the addition of cameras and sensors, border agents are not only better protected, but also more effective method. Donald Trumps states, “a nation without borders is not a nation.
If Donald Trump wins the Presidential election, I believe that first two substantive issues he will prioritize on his agenda will be breaking and shelving the Iran nuclear deal and containing the spread of what he calls “radical Islam.” Currently, Iran has a large stockpile of uranium and over 20,000 centrifuges which can make at least 8 nuclear bombs, one every 2/3 months. In response to Iran’s nuclear program, the UN, US and the EU emplaced nuclear-related sanctions on Iran, crippling its economy. The deal orders Iran to reduce it’s of uranium by 98 percent and maintain the uranium enrichment at a level drastically below what it needs to make a bomb, and in return, the UN, US and EU will remove its sanctions, allowing Iran to gain access
Through the use of logos, Hilary Clinton was able to overcome Donald Trump on the issue of improving the United States’ economy. Donald Trump argued that in order to improve the U.S. economy, the United States must force companies to stay in the nation and lower corporate taxes by over 10%. Hilary Clinton, on the contrary, stated that it would be more beneficial to the economy of the U.S. to raise taxes on the upper class, invest in the middle class, and increase spending in clean energy and infrastructure. Donald Trump spoke out, passionately, against Clinton’s position; however, Clinton cited many statistics, which favored her plan. During the debate, Clinton even unveiled a “fact checker”, which was freely available.
FDR: I invested effort during my campaign and throughout my presidency to convey messages directly to the public and keep citizens informed. Legislative achievements do not necessarily make themselves apparent—a deft communicator often has to relay an administration’s achievements to people. I utilized fireside chats, newspaper prints, and radio in ways revolutionary for my time. Just as I realized that radio bypassed the problem of lower literacy rates among poor constituents, President Trump transmitted his platform according to the needs of a digital agency. Utilizing Twitter virtually around the clock and riding a tidal wave of free media coverage allowed Trump to inundate the media.
This year’s election process was a treacherous one, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were the top two runningmates. Trump was never predicted to win, but nobody can tell the future. Trump is a very unpleasant man, but I hope he does good in office. In this essay, I will be explaining my worries about him in office. When dealing with illegal immigrants, I think that Trump should not build a wall, but instead, stop them from entering completely but not allowing Americans to hire them.
II. Immigration Illegal immigration can be defined as, “an alien (non-citizen) who has entered the United States without government permission or stayed beyond the termination date of a visa” (Illegal Immigration). The United States is often referred to as the melting pot of cultures.
218 million people are currently banned from the entering the United States. 218 million, as in a total of seven countries. For one of President Donald Trump’s most recent executive orders, he has, “barred citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S for at least the next 90 days.” (Diamond p.1) Trump might have gone too far but he also might have done the right thing.
The fight for black rights and equality has been a goal for centuries and it continues to this day not only that but it continues to grow worse. “Many tend to think of that era's push for civil rights and Black power as a distinctly American phenomenon. It was, in fact, a global movement--and so is BLM today” (Keisha N. Blain).
According to an article written by Matthew Yglesias in 2016, the Democratic Party have selected a good candidate to represent them, whereas the republicans couldn’t have picked someone worse for this position (Yglesias, 2016). Due to this, one can further conclude that Donald Trump truly does not have the proper experience or competence in order to be the next President. Similarly to Canada, America has a representative democracy. They want the next President to be a person in which they can confine and trust that will make the best possible decisions for its citizens. Although Donald Trump could be a good candidate to represent his country economically — as he is an intelligent businessman, is he truly the best to represent the people socially
Unsatisfied with the country’s first African-American president, in fear that their lives are becoming inferior to the growing population of minorities and immigrants and longing for the American dream; thousands of men and women line up to see Donald Trump. And in an extraordinary presidential campaign, Trump thrives off of and taps into these very fears and anxieties that have been brought to light. Despite the adversity that Trump’s campaign attracts, his supporters and voters that have pledged their allegiance to the Republic derive from various states of the country. They work in schools, in aged care homes and run small family businesses; they had placed their vote for Barack Obama and had watched generations of failed presidents, they are students who will vote for the
As the new year of 2017 starts, the United States of America has a newly elected president, Donald Trump. In the past years that lead up to the election, there were many citizens against Trump, more specifically, younger liberals. Many of these people who did not support Trump would describe him as a narcissist, rude, arrogant, a bully, racist, egomaniac, etc. But there are other words to describe the type of person Trump is like, patriotic, strong, determined, confident, successful, bold, etc. There are many people who still support Trump; hence he won the election.
