What is the government and how is it supposed to work? Is the government for the safety of the country and the people? When putting one mind to govern all, the person is not speaking for all. That is why representation is important, that is why having more than one person in absolute power is going to be the best way to run things. This is why federalism is the best choice of system when it comes to governing something. However this is not a “which is a better system of government competition”. Especially since both sides have very interesting ways of doing things, and pros and some bad cons that come with their way of doing things. Of course, america has a history of revolting against those who decided to cage them, but now america is considered to be free of those chains it once had. The founders realized that they still needed some limitations and that nothing could be completely free or else there would be chaos. They had three reasons for creating the federal system. The first reason was to avoid tyranny or using the government for cruel and wicked reasons should not be allowed. Next, to allow more people to have a voice in the political system. Allowing more people to have their voices heard will make more people feel as if they are being equally heard, and it would squash the the feeling that political choices being made were in favor of a single person's beliefs. Finally the rule to avoid using the states as guinea pigs to test out things like new laws or legalizing something that was previously not allowed. Another name for this process is also called “Laboratories of Democracy”. There is too much at risk that comes with it. Though these are not the laws that are heavily forced, they are allowed to be altered. For example during the Obama’s presidency and years before, there has been tons of debates about marijuana and how it will affect the public.
