The Anti-federalist,didn't hate the federalist they just didn't agree with them in some points. They just were in favor of the states having more power than they did.Anti-federalist focused on the bill of rights and equality. They were worried that the constitution didn't equally divide power among the three branches of government.They were also concerned about giving the federal government power to regulate commerce. The anti-federalist wanted to improve the equality in the government this is clear with this quote "As long as we can preserve our unalienable rights, we are in safety". The anti-federalist believed that the constitution needs the bill of rights to protect people individual rights. The federalist were a strong central government .They wanted a strong leader and they wanted the separation of powers as stated in the federalist quote."It is evident that each department should have a will of its own; and consequently should be so constituted that the members of each should have as little agency as possible in the appointment of the members of the others."–Federalist No. 51 …show more content…

They wanted a more centralized government. They had an open mind and wanted people's voice to be heard.In federalism the power is constitutionally divided between a central government and that of states or provinces.Each level of the government has its’ own obligation and power.It's different from Confederations because it gives the federal systems the central authority some amount of control over its citizens, thus endowing it with a level of sovereignty.
