Like many things in the world, fracking can harm not only the environment, but also people. These effects can cause a lifetime of health problems on the human population. Although some people think it is right and agree with fracking, many do not after seeing what it has done to them or their loved ones. Fracking is quite the process. To put it in a simple easy to understand definition, it is comparable to a mini earthquake that retrieves natural gases and water out of the ground. Fracking is when a person drills into the ground and then sprays water at a very high pressure to release the gas that is inside the rocks. One pro to fracking is the fuel that can be achieved from this. Fuel can run low and be hard to find, but fracking will always produce natural gas. It can lessen a country’s need for a foreign country’s oil and fuel. The chance of polluting bodies of water and the environment is slim because fracking is done underground so the chemicals and things used to perform fracking are all underground out of harm. When the United States gets the oil and gas from it’s own land, the energy costs are lower. This can also make tax prices lower because the importing and exporting of these things are not going on as much. It increased job opportunities. A huge portion of the United States worked for this.
