A lot of people think that indian boarding schools were a good way of educating children, but I think that indian boarding schools shouldn’t have treated the kids like they did. These people are wrong because They had very little learning and they had very unreasonable punishments and they were very inhumane.. Also, they didn’t let kids do native traditions or speak their language.

Indian Boarding Schools shouldn’t have treated the indians like they did because they were inhumane. For example, Priests and Nuns would sexually molest and rape the kids, and even got some girls pregnet. A second example is that priests and nuns threw babies into furnaces and fires. On indian country media network, Zephier, a survivor of an indian boarding school said that “ The beatings were so frequent, we adapted to the pain and got used to living that way.” This is important to notice because they were abused so much, that they got used to the pain, which is really hard to do, and they even knew that they were going to have to live like that for a while. Also, They would beat the indians with anything they could find, like metal shovels, toilet plungers, etc.
