an extra 50 hours a week totaling over 90 hours that 's the equivalent to working two full time jobs with a side job. if the NCAA payed their athletes it would be good for the competition. The players would spend less time worrying about finances and they would put more work in and perform better on the field and in the classroom. The athletes can 't even use their own name for profit. an autograph is simply a person 's name. If an NCAA athlete where to sign their own name and charge $1 for it they could lose their scholarship and be kicked out of school for violation of NCAA code. But the NCAA will use the player 's names for their own profit. the NCAA sell jerseys hats and other player merchandise and keeps every single penny what a player he did nothing about it. When universities do this they are literally selling the person who love that place. Doesn 't sound of personhood of somebody without giving them compensation being morally wrong. The NCAA makes 11 billion dollars a year, makes athletes work over 90 hours a week and sell their personhood. The NCAA has a perfect cheap labor system. They make athletes perform in the classroom and on the field. If an athlete gets hurt or doesn 't perform they can be cut from the team and lose their scholarship and kicked out of school. The student-athletes drive the whole NCAA without them there are no bowl games there is no March Madness and most of all there is no 11 billion dollar industry that is
