There is a very dark side of outsourcing that Canadians don’t see, this cartoon shine a light on the consequences of outsourcing. The artist clearly shows outsourcing has negative impacts on people. Outsourcing is far from perfect, it has taken the lives of far to many people in developing nations, If we decide to stop outsourcing our goods, then what will these countries do to lift them out of poverty? How will they have a better future without jobs that provide them a living? I feel outsourcing has more advantages to not only Canadians, but to the world as a whole. Outsourcing definitely has its cons, although it provides jobs for people, it also takes them away. Companies outsource their products because it is cheaper, faster and easier for them to be made in other countries and shipped across the world to consumers. For example, a brand of clothing is made in Canada, providing jobs to people here. The problem is that these clothes must be sold for high prices because of the wages and regulation laws in Canada. …show more content…

The fact is that almost everything we used is outsourced. The computer that I’m using right now is made of Colt, a resource not found in Canada. Some say that they will start buying fair trade products, or clothes from stores that are produced in Canada. Unfortunately most people don’t know about the negative impacts, and those who do aren’t enough to change anything. It’s the tragedy of commons, because even if one fisherman realizes that he overfishes a small pond, there are ten others doing the same thing that won’t stop. We can’t change the fact that most of the products we use in our daily lives our outsourced. We can however rally to change the conditions that these products are made under, and hold corporations directly responsible for their actions.
