Peaceful protest can be up for debate. It is our first amendment right to protest, even if it is against those who are intended to protect us. Protesting can impact a free society in many different ways such as, providing the people with a voice about officers, showing authorities how they feel towards the law, and it can even cause an immense uproar from others who disagree with the subject. Peaceful protest can benefit a society in multiple different ways. It gives the people of the community a voice by holding signs, shouting, and even writing letters to the authorities.
